The Digital Economy Promotion Agency (depa) and BlackStorm Consulting (BSC) have formalised a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to transform Thailand Digital Valley (TDV) into an international Digital Startup Hub and bolster the digital ecosystem for a sustainable digital economy. The agreement was signed by Asst. Prof. Dr. Nuttapon Nimmanphatcharin, President/ CEO of depa, with Ms. Jeslin Bay, Group Chief Executive Officer of BSC, alongside with Mr. Hatsadin Kampiranond, Acting Director of depa’s Asset Management Office and Mr. Paddy Tan, Managing Partner of BSC.
BSC, a Singapore-based consultancy, is dedicated to developing TDV as a global digital hub for startups by leveraging strategic collaboration with depa and its extensive partner network. Through this partnership, BSC will share its knowledge and expertise to support both domestic and international digital startups. This initiative aims to enhance competitiveness, expand market opportunities, and attract international investment in technology and innovation, positioning TDV as the “Silicon Valley of Southeast Asia.”
The partnership also extends to advancing digital human resource development. BSC will support depa’s One District One Scholarship (ODOS) project, which seeks to provide Thai youth with access to world-class education in digital technology at leading global universities. This initiative aims to equip Thai talent with the skills needed to compete internationally and drive sustainable growth for Thailand’s digital economy.
The MoU underscores depa’s commitment to building a robust global network through strategic collaborations with public and private sector partners. This collaboration is expected to drive investment in the digital industry, create business opportunities for entrepreneurs, and generate widespread employment in the digital sector.
The collaboration between depa and BSC marks a significant step in the journey to establish TDV as a global technology hub, fully equipped to support the demands of the digital economy.
