March 25, 2023: The event commenced with an energetic Ice Breaking & Introduction session, where students engaged in team-building activities. This initial interaction set the tone for a day of collaboration and learning, encouraging students to connect and work together effectively.
Workshop 1: Mastering the Mindset & Ability to Think Strategically
Led by industry experts Paddy Tan and Jeslin Bay, students delved deep into the art of problem-solving with a strategic mindset. This session equipped them with essential techniques to approach challenges strategically and vital skills in the ever-evolving business landscape.
Activity 2: Build a Case – Applying Strategic Thinking to Real-Life Challenges
The afternoon began with the “Build a Case” activity, where students applied their strategic thinking skills to real-life case studies. Working in teams, they navigated complexities, analysed situations, and formulated effective solutions. This interactive session provided a platform for students to test their strategic understanding in a practical setting.

Workshop 2: Beyond Expertise – Integrating Strategy, Teamwork, & Curiosity
The learning continued with the second workshop, “Beyond Expertise: Strategy, Teamwork, & the Curious Mind.” Here, students explored the synergy between expertise and strategic thinking. Emphasising teamwork and curiosity, the workshop encouraged students to innovate collaboratively, fostering an environment of shared knowledge and creative problem-solving.
Showcasing Strategic Solutions
The day’s highlight was the “Present your Case & Ask Strategic Questions” session. Each group had the opportunity to present their case study findings, demonstrating their strategic solutions. The presentations, followed by a Q&A session, showcased the depth of their strategic thinking and provided a platform for valuable feedback from their peers and the esteemed industry leaders Paddy Tan and Jeslin Bay.
